JEANNIFER TIRTAMARTA was born in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta in 1995. She has always been inspired by the city. To her it is the source of her inspiration. Her earliest doodles in middle school include landscapes, cityscapes drawings, but it all changed when she watched her very first fashion show. She started drawing clothing, and even design fashion collections of her own.
Her works had been put in competitions throughout Jakarta. She spent 2 years studying Fashion Design in Instituto Di Moda Burgo, while constantly keeping up with the latest fashion trends around the world. Chasing her dream, she then devoted her time and attention in San Francisco studying Fashion Design in Academy of Art University. She spent her winter 2016 break as a design intern in SOE Jakarta and collaborated with a senior for a beading collaboration the next summer. After her graduation, she is named by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) as Fashion Future Graduate Designer 2018 and got her senior collection showcased in New York City.
Her aesthetic is a mixture of feminine and androgynous. In spite of that, she is still city-inspired and her designs are young, modern and experimental.
