Con Artist is a London based contemporary womenswear label established in 2017 under the artistic direction of the designer who was trained in womenswear design and pattern cutting at the University of Arts London. Con Artist strives to empower women through designs that are functional and filled with thoughtful details. Draping is one of its signature techniques which helps give the wearer and the audience a sense of subtlety and craftsmanship.

Latest Collection

Spring Summer 2019 Lookbook

The Spring and Summer 2019 collection was inspired by the film, Phantom Thread. The
story took place in London in the 1950’s and describe the loving yet tenuous relationship
between Reynolds Woodcock, the famed dressmaker, and Alma, his lover and muse.
Reynolds’s self-centered personality could only be reined in by Alma’s willingness to hurt
him to provide a much needed sense of vulnerability. Alma’s weapon of choice was
poisonous mushroom and was the film’s leitmotif. In addition to being inspired by the love
story, the collection also borrows symbolically the mushroom’s natural construction and
texture. There is a beauty to how nature created a seemingly asymmetric yet structural
shape, a complex yet harmonic layering.
