Stefania Marra was born in 1984 in Milan.
After completing a Diploma in Fashion Design at Istituto Carlo Secoli in 2004, she carries on with her study in Fashion Design at GED Institute.
The following year, she moves to London where she experiences the city’s underground scene, becomes passionate about photography and architecture.
She then returns to Milan where she joins the well-known studio of Giovanni Cavagna working as a style manager until 2011.
Here, she has the opportunity to design for some established international brands, including Patrizia Pepe, Caractère and Luisa Cerano.
Together with Giovanni Cavagna, she designs and develops avant-garde costumes for "Anna Oxa Proxima tour" and fashion design for Ornella Vanoni’s public events.
In the subsequent years, she continues working with a number of fashion design practices, among which Pia Grattarola, Enrica Porta and Stefano Durelli.

It is at this point that the first Stefania Marra’s capsule collections come to life.
Stefania begins working in a small co-working space with designers, artisans and graphic designers. She experiments new techniques and enters the world of modelling and tailoring.
STMA collections are the result of accurate research, brave experiments and unusual juxtapositions.
Elegant and feminine items rooted in the underground culture and now part of a chic and well-researched world.
A design characterized by certainties and defined volumes, elegant as well as shameless details.
A pure and delicate line, characterized by a perfect wearability, by trendy forms and important details that make a difference.
Each item is designed on mannequin and directly prototyped in the atelier in Milan.
All items are designed and made in Italy.
The concrete approach of Italian tailoring meets the research of innovative and refined materials with an eye towards avant-garde shapes and pure fashion.
