Sabina Bernardelli

Sabina Bernardelli was born in Rome in 1982. After obtaining a BA in Contemporary Art History from La Sapienza University of Rome, she devoted herself to artmaking.
Her first steps as a professional artist started in workshops where she moved from ceramics to glass engraving, and finally to precious metals.
Each piece is handcrafted using different techniques and materials like wax, enamels, wood and plexiglass.
Her jewelry research is not conceptual. It is based on a continuous experimentation on material, that is absolutely the centre of her project.
Sabina likes drawing and in a sense she draws on metal. Through wood, plexiglass and silver she try to express herself, do researh and create an ideal beauty.
I design art jewels, which are easily wearable. That is due not only to business, but also to my personal belief that jewelry must be re-interpreted by different people wearing it.
She has taken part in several exhibitions and also held solo shows in Rome, New York and Sydney.
