Studying Fashion Design and Manufacturing at Cardonald College before going on to study Fashion Business at Caledonian University, Rebecca Torres is the founder and designer behind the self titled label. Specialising in the use of luxurious sports led fabrics Rebecca is renowned for her ability to accentuate and empower the female form creating garments featuring enhanced fit, stretch and comfort.
With compliments from the likes of Vogue and a sell out collection on ASOS.com, it will come as no surprise that Rebecca has already designed ranges for many high street retailers as well as produced pieces for some of the UK’s top stylists and artists.

Achievements
• Selected as part of “HOUSE OF FRASER PRESENTS” which encompassed 3 up and coming brands to sell within House Of Fraser.

•  Winner of “best E‐commerce site 2013” BT Young Entrepreneur awards

• Rebecca Torres was also nominated for Young Designer Of The Year at the Scottish Fashion awards 2013 & 2012.

• In 2011 Rebecca was selected to design for Brand Alleys competition
“Evening Black Dress” or “EBD” where she was part of 10 designers from the UK to design there interpretation of the EBD. Rebecca’s design was the best seller on the BrandAlley.com website.

*Rebecca was also Shortlisted for the Lloyds TSB Enterprise Awards 2012 and was given the award for “Highly Commended Business” Which was a great Achievement to be recognised within the business sector.

•  Nominated as one of Vice magazines 'Creative 30', shortlisting 30 of the most creative talents under 30 in the UK. Following up from this nomination
Rebecca was selected as one of the top five designers to discover in 2009 by The Herald

Rebecca is also part of Fashion Foundry which “is an incubator and talent hub for fashion and textile designers in Scotland. Led by Cultural Enterprise Office in association with Wasps Studios, Fashion Foundry is funded by Creative Scotland, with additional support from Scottish Enterprise.’

Digital Enterprise Glasgow (DEG) is a business incubation facility designed to provide intensive and sustainable business development support and above all, a nurturing environment to help accelerate entrepreneurial activity through a cluster of rent-free incubation hubs located in the City of Glasgow.
