Parlor was founded in 2010, with the conviction that no matter the trends and times, a woman must still be refined, feminine and elegant. Parlor embraces time-honored couture techniques and handmade details, with a modern sensibility to create special and unique feminine pieces for the contemporary woman.
A combination of contrasting elements defines the demi-couture house: Parlor is traditional and modern at the same time; modern and organic, sumptuous and pure.
The hallmarks of Parlor include a creative approach to volume, color and silhouette. Traditional techniques and sophisticated embroideries are used throughout the collections to create the eternal and timeless Parlor demi-couture pieces.
Veronica Zaharia, designer and owner of Parlor, was born and raised in a family of artists and since childhood she was guided and educated to a career in the arts.
Before she created Parlor in 2010, Veronica worked in the television and entertainment industry and became acquainted with Romanian showbiz personalities, stylists and fashion editors, as part of the production teams of top television shows in Romania.
Her debut in the fashion world was a natural consequence of her education and previous career.
Veronica learned how to sew and create patterns from her mother and grandfather – a famous tailor of Bucharest in the ‘30s.
Parlor is reputed for the way that Veronica managed to blend modern elements by using precious fabric and bold architectural cuts and to combine various textures in classic outfits paying tribute to absolute femininity.
