Ayao sasaki grew up in rural, isolated island in Japan, where her design journey started with deconstructing garments; soon, she discovered the the beauty in garment construction.
Her driving force lead her to further continue the education at Fashion Institute of Technology. she found the unique chemistry in combining different materials. Her design is created under the theme of the coexistence of softness and toughness. Having opposite types of elements and fabrics is her interpretation to human psychology.
