is a collection whose aim is to celebrate the invisible heroines from the past, forgotten by recent history.
The term "Giardiniere" was used to call women belonging to the Carboneria during the first phase of Italian Risorgimento.
The secret society was divided into groups of nine women named "garden" and to get inside a grouping, every woman had to cross a long investigation period.
Giardiniere's motto was "Resolution and perseverance" and "honor and virtue".
Across my own view, the entire collection tries to describe the women who had inspired me and that have been and still remain an exemple of mothers of the homeland.
The collection's central outfit is the apron. The choice of the apron is tied with women's social role in history. The apron becomes the woman's "uniform" in every sense.
Thanks to the new social awareness, from a home relegation's symbol, the apron developes into an identity embleme of this modern consciousness.
