Eileen Pappas was born one August morning in Athens, Greece and since then has always carried the Greek summer inside her. Her career has taken her across disciplines and continents -- from Budapest to New York then back to Athens, from architecture and medicine to fashion design and jewelry -- ever fascinated with the relationship between bodies, objects, and the environment.

Pappas switched her focus to creative design education following seven years developing knitwear for a number of different companies in New York City, becoming increasingly uncomfortable contributing to global pollution. At her alma mater Parsons School for Design, she taught five courses ranging from textiles to concept development, and it was there, having time to thoughtfully explore her own interests without the constraints of a corporate brand, that she sat at her first workbench and began the story of Eileen Pappas Jewelry.

A deep believer in the power of objects to transform, heal and heighten our collective consciousness, she creates jewelry that is a merging of matter and soul, reflecting her core vision of highlighting handcraft's inherent value. Her mission is a simple one: create pieces that customers fall in love with and cherish for a lifetime, resulting in a palpable shift towards mindful consumption.

Rejecting a model of dizzying new drops, collections are given ample time for development, refinement, and completion, their stories methodically shared through the jewelry and collectibles themselves. The result allows customers to acquire as much of a collection they wish before the next one goes to market through a series of individual studied purchases.

Made entirely by hand, in partnership with local Greek technicians when necessary, each small-batch collection captures the senses while adhering to ethical practices. Over 80% of materials are recycled silver and zero waste, contributing to an increasingly urgent sustainable future.
