Yanna Petter

Yanna Petter is a fashion artist and communicator.

Based in Wellington New Zealand, Yanna is a designer who works at the intersections of fashion and performance art.

Yanna is about to complete a BA degree in Fashion Design and Business from Massey University in New Zealand. Her internship experiences include Montana World of Wearable Art, Maria Allen Boutique and Kate Sheridan, two of which were completed whilst studying part of her degree in the United Kingdom. The internships had a strong focus on accessory design and these experiences have influenced much of her research and design outcomes.

Her work often seeks to explore and challenge conventional fashion materials, methods and practices for contemporary design. Her most recent research project offers a new way of look at clothing by transforming garments into bags; an adaptable and multi-functional collection.
