The Wardrobes by Chén Studio was established in 2014 in Beijing with its own studio and show-room. In 2015 JY (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong based funds management company and Fashion Designer Doris Chen jointly formed Chen Fashion Ltd in Hong Kong, which is the legal proprietor of the two registered trademarks of “WARDROBES BY CHEN” AND “CHENSWARDROBES”. Our official website is chenswardrobes.com which currently only supports credit card purchases and mainly sells to countries and regions including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Australia.

Wardrobes by Chén as a high-end women’s fashion brand is based on a core design principle of elegance, style, luxury and sophistication. Wardrobes by Chén employs clean, tailored and flattering cuts, and focuses on the decorativeness and complementariness of the design. Whilst using only high-end, luxurious fabrics, decorative design elements such as natural silk, laces, flower patterns and three-dimensional decorations are extensively used in Chén’s designs in order to create an exquisite, classy and quintessential style with bespoken feminine individualism and modern elegance.

Wardrobes by Chén takes design inspiration in everything from everywhere: fabrics, art, seasonal changes and natural landscapes. Wardrobes by Chén blends these elements together in design with a strong focus on continuing innovation in the materials and make of the clothes, and the use of new fabrics. Whilst adopting innovative and contemporary design and production techniques, Wardrobes by Chén’s style is also influenced by traditional dressmakers and their artisan workmanship with. Since its inception, Wardrobes by Chén only works with a selected group of high-end manufacturers who understand and share this passion for make and quality of fabric.

Unlike most ready to wear brands, Wardrobes by Chén does not outsource its production. All Wardrobes by Chén’s clothes are made from its own studio, even in the busiest times of the year. Wardrobes by Chén does not operate like a factory production line: Wardrobes by Chén employs a team of highly experienced production technicians and for any given piece of clothes, it is always made by a same technician for every steps of the manufacturing process that are concerned. It is Design Doris Chen’s belief that only all steps of making are completed by one person, then this particular piece of clothes will have its own special charm and soul.
