In the past few years, alongside the necklaces which are predominant in the series of works, that I create, I have been experimenting with the function of jewellery and its relationship to the body. I refer to the kind of tests that I carry out as "jewellery studies".
In both fields I am particularly interested in the prevailing structural requirements: this means that for producing series of works, for instance, the individual items tend to be like models rather than ending up as real production with corresponding numbers of items. My concept of the search for adequate technology is also that of a field experimentation, and I try to establish the requirements of the modern industrially manufactured object, taking contemporary, serially produced jewellery and its requirements as an example - for instance, whether it is suitable for the market.

This range of necklaces (Double chains) and rings (Necklace rings) is a result of my continuous, experimental way of dealing with classical types of necklaces. Alienation and interpretations lead to another, often surprisingly new perception. Pushed together and gathered onto chains, nylon string or bead cord, cable chains look different than curb chains. The aesthetic quality of the work results from the choice of length, size, shape and their relation to each other.
