Named after the address where he lived at for the final two years of his undergraduate studies, STUDIO_805 is a progressive menswear label driven by Andrew Bannister-Bailey, a first class BA (Hons) Fashion Design graduate from Leeds College of Art & Design. Having honed his pattern cutting skills whilst on work placement at Vivienne Westwood, he has since developed a signature style fusing cunning cut, clever colour and choice cloth.
STUDIO_805 launched off-schedule at London Fashion Week early 2009 as part of Fashion Scout's first ever 'Ones to Watch' initiative and so began the label's calculated exercise in sartorial fun.
STUDIO_805 introduces a choice selection of pieces via Not Just A Label.
This collection developed from initial research into historical square-cut garments, the practical execution of modern-day zero-waste garment designs from pioneers in that field of study and a personal desire to be more mindful of my design output and its effect on the environment. The learning gained from those exercises has driven these garment designs. All fuse elements of square-cut and/or zero-waste pattern cutting techniques to generate new sustainable propositions for an ethical, unisex wardrobe.
