Shreyaa Mavani

Recent graduate of BA (Hons) Fashion at University for the Creative Arts Epsom, specialising in womenswear and with an interest in high-end fashion design. Shreyaa was selected to showcase my final collection at Graduate Fashion Week and she was shortlisted for the best of Graduate Fashion Week 2015.Where she won the British Council Graduate Fashion Week Award. Shreyaa also received award from the CFDA for outstanding achievements in Womenswear as one of the CFDA+ Graduate Award 2015.

Inspiration springs from range of art movements, different cultures traditional clothing and contemporary sculptures. The 1960s have also been important in the development of my design aesthetic, which focuses on big silhouettes and interest in fabrics. Shreyaa uses contemporary artists work as inspiration and mix it with different traditional culture to create her strong design aesthetic. Creative pattern cutting and drape is a key part of Shreyaa's vision to create interesting and bold silhouettes.
