Sandra Galan is an avant-garde designer known for her innovative and edgy one of a kind designs. Her style is defined by ingenious mixes of rich fabrics and textures, oversized sculptural volumes, atypical deconstructions and creatively draped silhouettes.
Inspired by art and daily life, Sandra Galan’s unique Romanian flavour is mixed with various cultural influences which result in complex clothes for women who are not shy of making a statement.
Fascinated by the Romanian heritage, Sandra Galan reintegrates traditional vintage fabrics in contemporary fashion, emphasizing these handmade treasures with fluid shapes and mysterious layers. 'Heritage' is part of the Sandra Galan Couture line, and it brings back to life the opulently decorated Romanian fabrics that were crafted using gold and silver thread at the end of the 19th century.
Sandra Galan graduated from the National University of Arts and Design Bucharest with an MA in Fashion Design and completed three different specialized courses at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
