Rebecca Lennox is a British Womenswear Designer who specialises in printed textile design. Rebecca is passionate about practicing ethical fashion with the use of faux fur throughout her graduate collection ‘the banker & the ballerina’.

Rebecca’s admiration for design began to bloom in 2012 at the young age of fourteen when she won the Basildon Fashion Awards for her artistic talents. This later resulted in her practicing design on a more serious level during her studies at Nottingham Trent University which led to her being named NJAL’s Best Designer of 2018.

Rebecca’s designs are characterised by a distinct elegance with an exaggerated silhouette. She thrives in creating Avant-Guard outcomes with delicate detailing, such  as intricate beading, applique techniques and hand painted prints. Rebecca’s graduate collection ‘the banker & the ballerina’ was most recognised for its artistic prints and Russian detailing, alongside its distinct lantern sleeves.

Her graduate collection which showcased at Graduate Fashion Week 2018 was inspired by her twin sister, a ballerina as a child and an underwriter trainee to date. She drew inspiration from the Russian heritage of ‘The Ballet Russe’ and the androgynous style of a 1920s banker. The prints showcased in this collection were inspired by the original ‘Russe’ costumes and the story behind the Russian folktale ‘firebird’ which in Stravinsky’s ballet is about a half-woman, half-bird who is captured by Prince ivan who finds her sitting amongst the golden apples outside his palace.
