PUNUBUMESI

Dru Blumensheid grew up as a performance artist and singer, in the mid west of the United States in the 90s. As theater and cultural politics began to explode with the fast pace global market she turned her creative approaches to film, photography and fashion. Her 2011-2012 Collection, entitled Punu Bumesi, explores handmade winter wear from Australian wool and Asian synthetics, as a reflection of her current country of residence, Australia. She plans to continue her travels, exploring the possibilities of futurist elements in fashion and multimedia processes, applying dark elements and references to global cultural status in this time of age.
