Trained as a textile designer, Pepe focuses on digital/hand embroidery, digital print and laser cutting. One of the main themes in her work is mixing traditional techniques together with modern mechanical processes. This reoccurs in many of her concepts; images of nature together with contemporary man made ideas and objects are the source for initial illustrations. Using silk is a conscious decision, if clothes are well made and classic, one is more likely to keep a garment for longer.
