PaperGirl Collection

When I was a little girl favorite toy was my imagination and my favorite gifts were art materials. All day I was drawing and making things! I went on to study graphic design in Mexico and fine art in Florence, Italy and had the great opportunity of designing brand identities for small brands and big brands (AirCanada and American Airlines are the crown jewels of my branding career).

I love travelling and learning about other cultures, you could say I am a bit bookish but I am really curious about way too many things!

I now live with my small family: me, my husband and my daughter in New York City (the best place to create and make things happen).

When she was born in 2009, everything shifted and I discovered a new world through her eyes. PaperGirl Collection is the result of that shift: rediscovering clothes that my mom kept from my childhood, making things for my daughter’s room, telling her made-up stories and reading picture books, looking the world through her eyes and helping her grow into another happy, curious little girl.

In creating PaperGirl Collection, I’ve created my dream job: drawing, making, storytelling, and enjoyment of life all together.

Great care and dedication goes into creating PaperGirl Collection of illustrated high-quality clothes for girls 12 months to 6/7 years old. Our designs are Simple, Beautiful & Imaginative.

At PaperGirl we create drawings on paper, inspired in nature, world cultures, art and timeless childhood fantasies. Using embroidery or digital printing, these original illustrations turn each piece into a wearable art. It is as if the dress was a page from an artist’s drawing pad or an illustrated book.

We love storytelling, we believe in helping young minds learn and play with art, imagination and fantasy. Each illustrated garment includes a little book that tells the story –fiction or non-fiction- we’ve written about the illustration. The child can read it with you or can keep it in a little side pocket.

PaperGirl silhouettes (the A-dress, the X-dress, the B-blouse and BubbleShorts), are inspired in different eras and places:. Our clothes are both timeless and thoroughly modern. Joyfully designed in New York City and made in USA using 100% soft cotton from Japan and other quality natural materials, our dresses are comfortable for the kids and easy-to care for (washable at home).
