Always experimenting with shape and innovative textiles. Always experimenting with cutting techniques.
One and Four Studio launches its third collection for Fall 2020, titled “Ride the Sky”. The collection features a capsule of unisex pieces that can be mixed and matched with the introduction of more womenswear pieces to the label.
Maintaining the ethos of developing clothing that is practical and respects the movement of the human body, this collection is inspired by equestrian clothing and the lifestyle that surrounds it. This is a direct response to the designers personal training and passion for horse riding. The shapes in this collection include pieces that are directly inspired by equestrian clothing, but reimagined into different pieces. As well as pieces that use elements of the lifestyle surrounding the sport.
This collection aims to be considerate of sustainability. Not only in the fabrics used, but in the amount of products designed. It seems plentiful in its layering and its volumes, but is actually comprised of a few unisex pieces that can be worn in several ways. Sustainability comes mostly from monitoring the amount of production and the durability of the items made. Hence, as usual, there is a heavy focus on quality. The garments are all comfortable, practical and always respectful of the human form whether male or female.
The colour pallete and design is inspired by the earthy nature of horses and their surroundings. The grass, the dirt, their own coats, sometimes pale and almost golden, sometimes pitch silky black and everything in between. Their regality and loyalty inspires the way the clothing is meant to stay with you, through time, curated by you for your own closet and collection. The way that being in company with horses brings you in contact with what really is essential, rare and beautiful.
