Norma Swimwear

Designer Merve Kardes was born in Istanbul, in 1987. Growing up with the metropolitan influence, Merve was always interested and involved in fashion. From drawing to designing, she was always fascinated by the creative process and glamorised with her sense of fashion.

She has a strong corporate background through her degree in international finance. After spending years in corporate life, she discovered that fashion was her true calling and decided to pursue her passion and established her own business. She realized the new era of swimwear and her love for couture designs led her to launch the high-end, couture and chic swimwear line Norma, in 2014.

Her philosophy for the collections is the core of the brand; swimwear that is high quality and exclusive, sophisticated and stylish, yet wearable. Her desire is to build Norma as a life style brand for the women just like her, determined, passionate, fashion smart, at the same time playful.
