Born and reared in Myanmar, Steven Oo graduated from UC Berkeley in 2007, majoring in Political Economy with an emphasis in International Business. Rather than join the corporate world of finance, Steven chose to nurture his interest in the fields of Art and Design. Steven finished his Masters in Fashion and Knitwear Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco; he was one of six graduating students chosen to debut collections during the Fall/Winter 2010 New York Fashion Week.
Steven now looks into exploring, experimenting and expanding his knowledge of knits and woven fabrics for the creation of future collections.

Latest Collection

Massimiliano

Drawing inspiration from the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas, this collection shaped the gentle curves of the architecture into texturized surfaces to create a unique knitwear collection, which was then finished with classic white shirts. By utilizing hand knitting, machine knitting, STOLL computerized knitting, and crocheting, Steven integrated these techniques—after achieving the desired silhouette through 3-dimensional draping—into various segments of the garments. All the yarns in this collection are merino wool imported from Italy and New York.
