My collection theme is “Speed of Sound”.
This idea came from American aviator names Joseph Kittinger who jump from 102,800(31,300m) feet above and his fallen speed was almost speed of sound. He was the one who experienced Speed of Sound without airplane.
Concept is how to express speed feeling by visual. So, I am trying to use lot of slashes and dual construction for details by using zip and the way of technical fabric pattern.
I also combined with native American`s geometric pattern and color, American Stealth combat plane and Art Deco`s lines as a pattern and shape of silhouette etc….
There is one experimental part which is using plastic plate as a pattern of fabric for my collection. I am trying to express modern feeling by using two different materials fabric and hard plastic which is normally not use for clothing.
I used fluorescent color for printing and plastics which bright in the black light and it worked very well in the show.
