AIISHA RAMADAN is a Lebanese fashion designer based in the United Arab Emirates, who launched her own clothing brand in 2006.

She has won a number of prestigious awards such as Young Designer of the Year by Swarovski, named one of 30 Most Awesome Women in the Arab World in 2009 by Arabian Woman Magazine and won The Gr8! Women Achiever Awards in 2011. Global brands from different segments including beauty and technology have trusted and partnered with the designer on internationally recognized projects, making her one of the most influential woman from the Middle East.

The AIISHA RAMADAN label is the epitome of modern design. The beautifully crafted garments speak to the feminine woman across the world. Celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande have adopted the label, which has gained international popularity for its elegant, yet sultry look.

Behind each AIISHA RAMADAN collection are the fruits of self-reflection, that resulted in bridging Ramadan’s passion for extravagant couture with her own personal style, spontaneous attitude and consistent love of life.

As an influential woman, emphasis is on individuality, freedom of expression, self-acceptance and celebration, all portrayed in the usage of high-quality materials, clean lines with layered details – simple, refined, elegant, effortless and timeless.

Ramadan’s past collections have focused more on couture pieces; however, Ready to Wear is now the main direction for the AIISHA RAMADAN brand. Ramadan felt that it was important to create collections that allowed her to reach a wider audience.

In 2015, cosmetic giant brand Shiseido chose Aiisha Ramadan to be its Regional Ambassador.

Fall '16 Ready To Wear "Senses"

Aiisha Ramadan unveils “Senses,” a collection comprising of 34 looks for Fall 2016. Relying upon her own five senses as a source of perceptive inspiration, Ramadan created a range straight from within the depth of her heart, mind and soul, an experience designed to be shared between women of all generations..
TASTE
Its evening in the beautiful city of Paris. Light rain falls onto the cobblestone pavement creating a picturesque glistening effect. As Aiisha strolls the narrow streets, she is suddenly compelled to tilt her head back and look up at the sky. The taste of light raindrops is oh so familiar and always brings back memories. She gazes around. No matter which direction she turns, the timeless landscape is one to embrace-the old, the new, and the chic; an endless expression of inspiring possibilities for her clean, classic looks.
HEARING
In search for her own inner peace, she finds herself at a sun set over the River Seine listening to music repertoire from past legends. Their golden voices transcend her into different era’s where she discovers various versions of herself. Through the melodic sound of authenticity, Aiisha translates the rhythms into light, transparent, and graceful lines of chiffon and Georgette silk that sway along with the tempo.
SIGHT
She watches as a man loads an old projector by the side of the road. Slowly winding the delicate film around the reel, each individual frame is a story operating together to create a masterpiece. Once completed, he faces the projector towards the wall and stands back to admire the footage not realizing that each frame inspires his onlooker to create bold square patterns projected as a beautiful dress, creating her own story, her own screenplay.
SMELL
The script that she imagines shows a rare and delicate moment where a soft white cherry blossom comes to life amongst autumn leaves, a blend of light and dark. The lead female character rests her head upon the tree trunk and inhales deeply, logging the light scent into her memory forever. Aiisha dreams she is the woman under the tree welcoming a whirlwind of cherry blossoms falling around her like soft aromatic snow as she glides her hands over the soft, sheen, silk Kimono that wraps around her body.
TOUCH
Texture reveals its story in every surface she encounters. The details are compelling and through touch, curiosity is satisfied. The subtle impression of every bead, crease, and drape embodies a response. Throughout Aiisha’s collections, beautifully embroidered Italian guipures and adorned fabric are prominent, a well arranged composition of all her senses uniting with purpose to evoke, even for a moment, perceptive beauty.
