DESIGN SCHOOL KOLDING

Sarah Sofie Norbo was born in Denmark in 1989 and studied textiles at Kolding School of Design BA. After her bachelor she went to work for Bart Hess in London and later started a master at Material Futures at Central Saint Martins. Sustainability, merging different medias and working artistically with creating sensorial experiences has always been her main focus and nobody clothing is her first wearable project. She was motivated by creating a label fit for those who do not care to belong. By silently challenging stereotypes and supporting diversity and sustainability. Every piece in her first collection the caledonian orogeny is handmade out of the finest natural materials and belongs in the grey area between wearable art and minimal lounge wear, with comfortable cuts and silent details meant to be worn for a healthy lifetime.
She attended Paris Fashion week at Cube Showroom in January 2018 and made it into some amazing shops around the world.

the caledonien orogony

the name of the collection comes from the scandinavian mountains dividing Norway and Sweden. the inspiration comes from scandinavian minimalism and different elements of the mountains, namely the raw geology metamorphism and invisible borders.

every piece is made from a natural fibers suitable for a changing climate. the concept is layering, so that the wearer can play with the look of the different materials on top of each other and create unique expressions and adapt the clothes to the individual personality.
