After being born in New York and raised in Israel, I returned to Manhattan to pursue my career as a designer, starting with my BA in Fashion Design at FIT. In my four years studying I intensely immersed myself in the program and learned everything I could from the facilities and educators. As I now graduate I plan to continue learning from the industry around me while gradually developing my own work.

My design process is constantly questioning the relationship between how we physically and emotionally feel within the clothing we choose to wear. I enjoy delving into a topic and exploring how I can transfer a fascinating concept into a work of art to be worn on a human body. As I develop pieces I undergo a process that pushes me to grow and make each piece more challenging than the one before in terms of the craftsmanship and the aesthetic. My intimate apparel pieces are designed with an emphasis on luxury, modernity and tailoring.

Digital Pangea

These garments are part of my senior collection. Inspired by a fusing of nature and technology in our ever globalized world, it is titled "Digital Pangea". Intimate apparel pieces combine panels to both connect and disconnect the body.

Millions of years ago the land masses of the world blended together to form the super-contitnent “Pangea”. The modern arrangement of the continents has divided the earth and its inhabitants. The recent phenomenon of globalization due to technological developments allows humanity to bridge these physical divides and instantly communicate, sharing experiences and information across distances that once took years to travel.
This essentially has formed a digital pangea. While developing my concept and designs I was inspired by both geographic and technological phenomena which relate to this concept. Shifting tectonic plates, continental rifts, fissures of the earth and the warmth of their colors are combined with the aesthetic of fiber optic cables, computers and the cold colors of futurism. A natural phenomenon blooms out of a technological development which allows a merging of societies, thoughts and intellect across continents. While still inhabiting seperate and distant corners of the earth, humanity may feel side by side.
