Taylor Ormond received a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2017. In 2016 She studied abroad at Central Saint Martins specializing in Womenswear. With a strong sense of humor and a love for color and the small details her work is highly technical along with being playful.
While at FIT Taylor received a number of awards two including Critic Award selected by Sies Marjan and was featured in The Future of Fashion Graduate Show Case hosted by the CFDA.
Taylor has also interned with Alice and Olivia, Kahle Studio, and most recently at Altuzarra all with in the design departments. Originally from Chicago, IL Taylor Ormond is currently based in New York City.

Bed Time Stories

Chinese Laundry, code for prostitution in the late 1800s by the Tongs gang. The heroine Bo Kum did not start a revolution through bravery, but by the way the Tongs murdered her. They called her Sweet flower in bed and stabbed the chest three times, and cut off her fingers and stuffed them in her mouth. The other leading lady of the story would be the 1950s housewife. Household appliances became symbols of oppression forcing the women out of the workplace and back into the home. My fashion philosophy: Look like a lady, sit like a man.
