Pavitra Mohan , was born in India. She grew up with a keen interest in the Arts and Design. In 2001 , she went to college to Singapore, to the prestigious Lasalle College of Arts. After 3 years, she earned a higher diploma in Arts Management. She dabbled in working in the Fine Arts, as a curator and started India's first and most well read blog about design and art, MASALA CHAI, in 2007. She also briefly ran a design store by the same name between 2010-2012 in India.
After being featured in magazines like Elle, Vogue.in, Grazia and WSJ (livemint) , she went on to curate the 'independent designers' segment for a Indian themed Exhibition for Harvey Nichols , at their flagship store in Saudi Arabia.In early 2016, she spoke at the INK conference at Mumbai. After almost 10 years in curating and writing about Indian art and design, she shutdown her blog. Her new project, The Cooling Glass Company', sees her taking on a new role as designer.

Pavitra creates one-of-a-kind handcrafted accessories such as eyewear and headpieces.
The idea is to shirk labels and explore your most adventurous , edgy and whimsical side, using the way you look to express your authentic self .
