XINYUE WANG

Xinyue Wang received a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Fashion and Accessories Design from Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology Fashion College in 2013. During this time, as the winner of the “Textile and Apparel Talent Scholarship” twice from fashion companies Three Gun and Conch, she went to Italy and studied in Milano Domus Academy for a design Summer Program, which led her to her first practical experience in the fashion world, and the dream started from there. She participated in Shanghai Fashion Show as a volunteer and a featured designer showing her final collection in 2013. Xinyue decided to pursue a further career in the fashion industry, and began studying toward a Master of Arts in Fashion Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. During her time as an M.A. student, she has worked to discover and further develop her aesthetic with playful and youthful womenswear, and has focused on exploring material and textile design. In the spring of 2015, Xinyue earned a trainee position in the textile design department with Alexander Wang in New York City, where she had the opportunity to experience the processes from delivering research to embroidering final garments for both the designer’s Resort 2016 and Spring 2016 collections. Her final thesis won the MANUS X MACHINA The Metropolitan Museum of Art fashion design Competition. Upon graduation from the M.A. program at SCAD, Xinyue wants to continue her focus and passion for womenswear and textile design and obtain a full time position with a design team in a fashion company.
