blluemade is a brand born from a desire for garments that travel well and are functional and elegant in any situation. Our search led us to Belgium, where we source our high-quality linen. Belgian linen is a durable, sustainable fabric with a beautiful natural texture, which is at the cornerstone of each blluemade collection. Our garments are meant to be worn effortlessly, with ease of care, and a timeless yet modern appearance.
Blluemade was created by husband and wife team Alex Robins and Lilly Lampe in 2016. They come to fashion design from backgrounds in art history and philosophy. Their mutual love of travel and art is at the foundation of their design aesthetic. blluemade is proudly designed and manufactured in America.
Our name:
The “blue” comes from our love of indigo, denim, and the roots of those textiles in vintage workwear. “Made” refers to the fact that every blluemade item is made in America, and represents our commitment to fair labor practices. The extra “l” is for linen.
