VOLUME 6. DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR.
This line is dedicated to all those lost in delusion. While climbing Mount Everest, the last ten percent of the climb is called "the death zone"because your cells are starved for oxygen for the remainder of the ascent. In order to complete the most difficult and exhausting part of the mountain, you must literally kill yourself with every breath. A great sacrifice indeed for the sake of feeling triumphant.
This is what climbing to success can sometimes feel like. Many may admire what we do, wish to participate alongside us, and commend our bravery. But they should actually be commending our delusions. Incredible sacrifices have been made in the name of success. The price tag has been nothing less of steep, pun intended.
Working in fashion has taught me that for every plateau you manage to reach, you'll discover another series of higher peaks ahead to climb up. These are our delusions of grandeur. Even if it wears our bodies thin and to pieces, is often hopeless and unforgiving, we are still delusional and cannot stop ourselves.
I've always enjoyed the climb so I invite you to grab an oxygen tank and join me. I welcome you to feast upon my frozen corpse if we become stranded en route.
The view is breathtaking and treacherous. If we die on this mountain together, I will not feel I wasted my life.
We are all lost in some form of delusion or fantasy. Some of us knowingly make the sacrifice to chase our delusions; while others have no choice. We are marooned together on a frozen cliffside. It is our prison and our paradise. I can't feel my face, pass the meat popsicles please.
This was our most technically challenging line produced thus far, has the highest quality materials, and took a solid 8 months of development to finish. We went hard in the paint because Toronto deserves a brand like this.
