FERN, a design house formed to celebrate and rediscover the aesthetic elegance of the ancient fabric art-form, Batik. a method (originally used in Java) of producing colored designs on textiles by dyeing them, having first applied wax to the parts to be left undyed.

Founded by Fern Chua, the winner of Fashion Pitch 2013 by MyCreative Ventures in Malaysia, the label is known for it’s distinguished one-of-a-kind creations, infused with a contemporary feel and exemplified by it’s tagline - ‘The New Batik’.

With a clear sense of design skewed towards simple, versatile and effortlessly elegant women’s ready-to-wear, the pieces are luxurious to touch and uniquely handcrafted by in-house artisans using only the finest natural materials.
