Martina Banozic

Martina Banožić was born in Zagreb 1988.
She studied industrial textile and fashion design at Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb and graduated in 2013 with BA degree.
She is currently finishing her masters in textile design, and working on her MA project.
Her interest explore art, textile and fashion design often linked together in one piece.
Inspiration for textiles are often found in her drawing, sketches, paintings and even colleges that are often combined with digital imagery in attempt to create digital fashion prints.
Textiles used in creation of her 2013 BA collection are entirely hand painted.
She is interested in traditional textile manipulation as well in contemporary methods of textile formation, such as: hand painting and drawing, weaving, digital print, screen print, transfer print using foil.
