Atropa Belladonna

This collection is interpretation of "Diamonds are a girls best friend." in a fabric form.
Wanting to create a luxurious collection with a
sultry, sassy diva in mind,
I began researching the ways of intertwining the idea of diamonds into the fabric without actually
involving the diamonds.
This lead me to two things – the shine and the shape of the diamond.
For shape I went with a stylized version of a
diamond found on playing cards ♦
- which I put into my design via fabric manipulation on dark blue velvet.
It is this manipulation makes it a couture collection as the fabric is entirely processed by hand and cannot be mass produced.
The shiny part came with the elegant silver square sequin material.
As a finished touch it is rounded with a few black
details.
