KATRIN MAYER

Katrin Mayer lives and works as fashion designer in Vienna (AT). In 2012 she served internships at the fashion labels PERRET SCHAAD and BLESS in Berlin (DE). She was awarded the Start scholarship (BMUKK) in 2013 and since then applies herself to her own fashion line.

KATRIN MAYER combines geometry and clear lines with smooth and high-end materials like silk, wool & ohter natural fibres. The label stands for elegant and timeless design. Mainly kept in black, the fashion line shines out by simplicity, clarity and extravagance as well as a high level of wearability. The play with contrasts is essential for the design philosophy, resulting in an area of tension between bodily/non-bodily, firm/smooth, feminine/masculine and drapery/cut. the designs are inspired by film, music, architecture, nature & fine art.
