Vered Buchbut, 29, a graduate (cum laude) of the prestigious school of fashion and design, Istituto Marangoni, London, was chosen to open the London graduate fashion show and to represent the school in the Paris graduate fashion show. Upon her return to Israel, she worked as a designer of Golf's women's line for three and a half years, and in 2013 started her own line 'V'. She lives in Tel Aviv with her husband.

Inspiration: Several fields inspired the collection, primarily architecture, with affinity to local architecture. Buchbut draws on the architectural practice, where decoration follows from construction, serving as a functional component within it, rather than a foreign element. The same principle applies to the prints in the collection: the shape of a crystal and the contour of a chair transform into abstract textures embedded in the garment, functioning as a form from which the silhouette is derived. In addition, Buchbut employs the cut-out technique, where the fabric is finished seamlessly, exposing skin that usually remains covered, making the garments sexier without vulgarizing them.
