NEMANJA POPADIC

I was born on February 28, 1990 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Before enrolling into the academic course related to fashion design I explored different fields of studies (pharmacy, medicine, biology) which gave me a broader possibilities or experimental research in designing. I am very conceptual in my works and for me the idea is fundamental. Creative process can begin only with innovative ideas. The starting point of my every project is profoundly connected with a message that I want to transmit. My main goal is to translate complex contexts and ideas into something not necessary tangible but visually striking and shocking.
I always try to stretch the boundaries of our comprehension of a garment by using non conventional materials and working techniques (ceramics, wood, glass, distressed fabrics ...). I find especially interesting experimenting in multi artistic field, fusing many artistic disciplines in one. During the project development every intrusion of another idea makes it even more complex and interesting experience and opens new horizons for research and experimentation. For me, fashion is not (only) about the clothes, it's about everything else.
