The quote, “He is a blend of tailored strength and Latin cholo finesse.” My approach incorporates tailoring techniques and the British cut from a youthful perspective. Drawing together influences from contemporary menswear and global subcultures my design aim to freshen up the bespoke experience. My customer is keen to experiment and stand out from his London peers, but with class, a true fit that respects his masculinity. The idea was to create something that would Meet the increasing demand for high quality fashion. The collection is well grounded in the idea that tailoring is the key to a man’s Wardrobe, this has been noted through the ages by all great dandies And has become an area of popular revival in more recent years.

Power dressing is at our core. SS14 we looked at the mighty Japanese sumo wrestler and the Hispanic Cholo. The oversized uniforms they both wear, the boldness in colour to symbolise their loyalty to a faction. No.44 signature tailoring fabrics return alongside delicate transparent silk organza, high performance sports fabrics and nylon hinting subtly at the multiplicity of men and introducing a dynamic new perspective on men’s sportswear. SS14 touches on the sensitive and thoughtful side of the no.44 man, presenting a softer more genteel perspective on the bold heroic silhouettes of past seasons. No.44 clothes are about simplicity of cut and the beauty of the materials used. We make all the pieces by hand in the united kingdom and make no compromise in their construction.
