British fashion house Muubaa London shot AW23 Womenswear & Accessories campaign in the Sahara Desert, Marrakech.

The campaign follows the compelling story of a protagonist and her conscious decision to take destiny into her own hands. Cut off from society she learns to utilise the Earth's natural materials and fend for herself. Undergoing a journey of self-discovery, she remerges into civilisation. Empowered, she can ride out any storm that comes her way.

The collection combines inspiration drawn from the Wild West and extra-terrestrial sources. Which share themes of exploration, adventure and freedom, which are reflected in the bold silhouettes, leather fringing and metallic finishes.

Muubaa introduces AW23's palette including; Galactic Cobalt, Astro Dust and Pantone's colour of the year Viva Magenta and unexpected flashes of lime snake.
The collection includes garments created using natural dye leather effects in earthy neutral tones set against injections of bright colour, citrus hues and load colour blocking.
Warm suedes are set against muted tones and dashes of bright hues.
Feminine silhouettes are balanced with raw edges.

Muubaa experiments with colour, texture, hardware and techniques to create a collection with an artisan hand-made feel.

“Leaving behind clean lines and monochromes of previous seasons, Muubaa London has taken inspiration from her travels around the world, 1960’s & 80’s pop culture and her grandfather's design archives from the 60’s- 1980’s; including texturised leathers and suedes with a handcrafted feel".
