Monkeyglasses is a danish eyewear brand that designs sustainable and handmade glasses, from biodegradable cotton acetate, stainless steel, and repurposed production waste.

the two CEO's of Monekyglasses Mai-britt & morten were the two first movers in thinking sustainably in the eyewear industry, where they have worked hard to be able to make glasses from sustainable materials and packaging without plastic.

Today, recycled cardboard and paper make up all of our packaging materials, which has a tremendous impact on the company footprint. Every shipping bag and every folding case makes a quadruple impact:

They don’t buy petroleum oils
They don’t send out plastic in the eco-system
They don’t support unnecessary timbering
They support recycling facilities that sell us waste paper

They have a zero waste policy. They use leftover material to create 100% recycled black cotton acetate frames.

Futhermore, they are supporting savetheorangutan.org, an organization that works to help as many orangutans as possible return to the wilds where they belong.
