Miss Julie

Julie Sun is the founder and designer of Miss Julie.

Never one to shy away from being hands-on, Julie's proactive approach to design, fashion and business has seen her responsibilities lie in research, sourcing, product design, management and business development. She’s a talented creative who knows how to make things happen. She exercised her ability to multitask in the early 2000s, by operating three unique jewelry and lifestyle stores in Toronto – distinctly boutique experiences on a scale that really had her hone her skills. Leaving Canada for Hong Kong she began a new challenge as a Research and Development Manager for a fashion jewelry company for three years where she managed dozens of aspects of the business in both the Hong Kong and Guangzhou offices with clients including Sanrio, Next and Esprit.

But creative design has always remained Julie’s first passion. In 2007 she took part in the Second Edition of Asian Fashion Jewelry & Accessories Design Competition and was awarded a Merit in the professional category. From here, she joined UK retail group, Accessorize where she was responsible for shop displays and setting up new shops in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

In 2011, backed by a decade of rich, exciting industry experience and a world of inspired ideas and concepts, Julie launched Miss Julie – and hasn’t looked back since.
