MARI VAAGAN

Mari Vaagan graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design in 2012. Recognized as a promising and skilled young designer she was one of the selected to represent her school in the prestigious competition, Designer’s Nest, during Copenhagen Fashion Week this August. With a passion for natural materials and a experimental approach Mari Vaagan specializes in designing unique exclusive pieces of cloths using the ethical and organic sheep fur from the special Norwegian wild sheep. Using her fascination for sheep fur to find new, original and untraditional uses for this traditional material, she hopes to share some of her fascination with the rest of the world. Along with the value of sustainable and local use of ethical and ecological materials. Combining this unique exotic material with other luxurious materials, bold colors and feminine cuts she creates distinctive outfits with character.
