Marco Baitella was born in a small village between the Dolomites in 1990. After studying science and math at the high school he applied for a BA in fashion design at IUAV, University of Venice. During those three years he spent six months in Bremen, Germany, for an exchange semester, and six months in Paris interning for Balenciaga. Before applying at the RCA he gained some experiences within the industry for different brands.
In his work he tells stories inspired by his identity and cultural background, questioning the modern significance of beauty. He combines traditional methods and materials with innovative and unusual textiles, to always challenge the conversation between the wearer and the product.
In July 2016 he took part at the prestigious International talent support competition based in Trieste, Italy, winning the ITS Artwork Award.
