Sobejo refers to what is left over, to the remains, to what is discarded. It also refers to what surpasses, what exceeds, what is immense.
This is the feeling with which this collection was developed and also the feeling it intends to cause. The entire collection was made with what was not used in previous collections; this worked in parallel to eliminate waste and save resources, but also as a creative exercise in reinterpreting previously worked materials and codes.
The themes previously worked on were also reinterpreted, specifically the subversion of traditional and religious codes, but now in a more literal and aggressive way. The flowers, which previously perched on pieces that covered much of the body, now form nets that delicately but defiantly expose what is underneath. These are further corrupted when placed two-dimensionally on denim pieces using laser or digital stamping. In the manual and artisanal production techniques, unexpected colors and silhouettes are applied. The multicolored pieces that form an irregular mesh, were produced in crochet, with an agglomerate of cotton threads that in previous collections were used in artisan weaving. These pieces that make the transition between 5 colors and recreate the effect of a rainbow, summarize the ideal of this collection: an ambiguous element, usually associated with the traditional, the oniric, and the naive, but also present in several daring, subversive, and disruptive contexts.
