Manav Sriprakash is an Indian born fashion designer based in Milan, Italy. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Rhode Island School of Design, USA, a professional degree in WRTW pattern cutting from the Istituto Secoli in Milan, and an MA from the Accademia Costume e Moda in Rome. Through his work he seeks to establish a strong visual lexicon defined by cut and the transient idea of the “wardrobe”.

MANAV SRIPRAKASH FW '21 researches l930's zeppelin air travel juxtaposed with the assemblagist sculptures of Panamareko, whose aeronautical works are, ironically, unable to take actual flight.

Simultaneously, references are drawn from the writings of Lady Grace Drummond Hay, a British journalist at the time, who was the first woman to travel by air on zeppelin and contributed to the glamour of aviation through her articles.

Together these references not only translate as an enquiry into the idea of a contemporary wardrobe, but also manifest as eccentricities in form and shape.
