Made Tkauu

Soumya Mohanty, the founder of Made Tkauu, a sustainable brand collaborating and working along with weavers from Odisha, earned her undergraduate degree in Fashion Designing from Pearl Academy, Jaipur. To further her knowledge, she went to Philadelphia University to focus on textile design. She gained valuable experience by working both in New York, US and India.

made tkauu was born in 2020, to bridge the long gap between the artisans and consumers. The handwoven craft is fading because of the lack of recognition & appreciation. Our efforts are to nurture this craft while it redesigns itself into a traditional language reflecting contemporary expressions.

made tkauu acts as small problem solver with design concepts & developments. A step towards providing sustainable solutions & empowering us towards a ‘tkauu’ (sustainable) life.
