I am a recent graduate from Cordwainers College at the London College of Fashion. I have a BA Honours degree in Product Design and Development in the Fashion Industries Footwear Pathway. During the four years that I studied on this course I also had a year’s work placement working for a high street footwear company, gaining great knowledge of the market.
At the university I worked on several projects for Gola, Design Against Crime and then my own self directed final year project. This project was an aim to fill a gap in the market for environmentally friendly footwear for the high street woman. I thoroughly enjoyed designing this collection intended for Spring/Summer 2009. I designed a range of shoes and made two from that range, as shown in the pictures attached.
I also had a fairytale shoe, which I designed and made in the Tyne and Wear Museum called ‘Shoes, the Agony and the Ecstasy’.
I am a creative, enthusiastic, reliable and organised person, with great communication skills on the lookout for a suitable design vacancy.
At the moment i am gaining experience with Hetty Rose, learning about a small bespoke business. This role has also enabled me to gain more knowledge with regards to accessories too!
