LAURA STOECKL

Laura Stöckl is a Womenswear Designer who graduated in July '13
at Istituto Marangoni London. Her collections were shown at
London Graduate Fashion Week 2013 and Oxford Fashion Week 2014.

1991 Laura was born near Frankfurt, her father being a German industrial designer and her mother a Luxembourgian interpreter. Since a young age she felt a great passion for art and enjoyed travelling the world, which became one of her main influences in creative projects.

2007, at the age of 16, Laura spent the 11th grade of her German Abitur (equivalent to high school) in Mexico. Changing perspectives on life and her dreams, it was around that time when she determined her wish to become a fashion designer.

2010 - After graduating with distinction at high school in Germany, Laura moved to London to study a Bachelor Degree in fashion design. During her studies, Laura worked for fashion companies such as Diane von Furstenberg, Paolita and Vauxhall Fashion Scout. She also worked as freelance fashion illustrator and collaborated with stylists and photographers.

2013 Laura Graduated with First Class Honours and on the occasion of GFW ’13 she got nominated for the Fashion Innovation Award. After she graduated, Laura started working as Design Assistant at one of her favourite fashion houses, Matthew Williamson, where she stayed for more than a year.

2014 Laura takes on a Design role at the newly founded luxury fashion house MENG
