A-LAB MILANO

Once again, the A-lab Milano language unites in unexpected ways, traditional elements and sperimentation. The graphic research, Alessandro Biasi's privileged reference in his creative process, is the irreplaceable ingredient of a collection that is surprisingly rich of references to the past but projected as usual towards the future. The communication, as always entrusted to the graphics applied to digital printing, focuses on a new proposal, in transforming traditional tartan and floral backgrounds in a pop and distinctly urban pattern.

The lines of the garments linger on the softness on which A-lab Milano has concentrated the recent research, held back by colored laces and drawstrings that re-find and re-design the silhouettes, according to the brand dictates.

The key word, more than ever, is contrast: coats inspired by sportswear are flanked by fluid clothes realized in printed velvet. The most feminine chemisier are made in techno-satin and the bi-stretch wools are embellished with delicate embroidery on the collars. In perfect tendency we recognize the logo, an indispensable element in streetwear iconography, peeping out on sweatshirts, t-shirts, scarves and, why not, even socks.

In an historical moment of deep mergers and contaminations, where subcultures rise quickly to trends for the masses, and where contestation movements are also melting into new elites, the Urban Flower represents the unexpected, the out-of-context element that assumes the character of uniqueness and value, like the woman to whom this collection is dedicated, which, despite living in an era linked to routine and homologation, manages to maintain and claim her identity, style and intellect.
