KIA UTZONFRANK

I’m a Danish goldsmith and jewellery designer, and a student at The Royal College of Art in London. I wish to research, explore and experiment with materials, shapes and traditions to find new expressions, to surprise, tell a story and make the viewer wonder and reflect. I use graphical clean shapes with a twist, and I am fascinated by big-size pieces. Its important for me that its not to serious but has a humorous side to it, and I often find my inspiration in very odd themes or great challenges.
I have presented my things at London fashion week ss12, copenhagen fashion week ss09, the Mittelmoda competition where the 'Danish open sandwich' collection won H&Ms prize for 'most global and innovative collection', in the Infernal pop/dance music video 'alone,together', Paris fashion week ss11 at the RA13-showroom, blogs as 'a shaded view on fashion', 'Ivan Rodic', 'Styleclicker', 'Anywho' and various others. The jewelry is currently presented in the woodwood store in Copenhagen.
